Celebrating success at the ILM conference

Ashley Rowthorn News

There was much to celebrate at the ILM conference last week.

Legacy Link were very pleased to award the first Crispin Ellison bursary awards to Jessica Thompson from Yorkshire Wildlife Trust, and Leanne Beaton from the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW).

The Crispin Ellison bursary award was launched by Legacy Link this year in recognition of former Legacy Link director Crispin Ellison and his contribution to the sector, and will cover the costs for both successful applicants to complete the ILM Certificate in Charity Legacy Administration.
The awards were presented by Ashley Rowthorn, Director of Legacy Link, who said:

“We are delighted to be awarding the bursaries to two talented legacy officers, from very different charities. As an awards panel, what stood out most was the commitment and passion both of these candidates demonstrated to their charities and to legacies. The sector is so diverse, and having both a local charity with a modest legacy income and a large international charity, really represents the sector we work in.”

We are also thrilled that two of our Legacy Link consultants were recognised with an ILM award. Freya Ellingham was awarded ‘Legacy Officer of the Year’ and Linda Norgrove received a ‘Lifetime Achievement’ award. We are very proud of them.
