The National Osteoporosis Society is the UK’s leading osteoporosis charity, helping over 20,000 people living with the condition, funding research and lobbying for governmental action.
Legacy Link provided long-term locum staff during a period where the legacy staff member was seconded onto a special project.
Both legacy administration and fundraising strategy skills were required by the client and the charity had struggled to find interim staff with both sets of skills.
Legacy Link was able to split the task and provide assistance in both of these areas by providing two consultants, Brad Gries and Jonathan Cook, on a job-share basis. This approach gave the NOS individuals that were known specialists in each field.
This “best of both worlds” approach allowed the NOS to launch a new series of legacy recruitment events whilst tackling one of their toughest administration cases.
The results were very positive: estates moved quicker in distributing funds and the legacy fundraising strategy was ramped up a gear increasing the number of pledgers, intenders and enquirers.
